I was invited for a night at Sir Savigny in Berlin and i had a wonderful time! Located in Charlottenburg, near bohemian-and-bookish Savignyplatz, Sir Savigny is in an art and cultural neighborhood.
The hotel is, I would say, an arty boutique hotel, with an original concept where all the details matter. It is the perfect mix between modernism and history. As soon as you enter the hotel lobby, which looks more like the dream/ideal living room, you immediately feel in a new world. A very pleasant one. And it’s important to feel both familiarity and excitement when you discover a new place. There are books everywhere and you can easily spend hours just absorbed by the treasures you find here.
The bar is simply lovely, with a view on the patio, and its amazing streetart fresque by Christian Dome Krämer.
I stayed in the Sir Boutique room category with the view on the lush courtyard. The custom-made furniture gives the rooms a very original touch. It’s not just a regular hotel room. It has charm and personality.
The Boutique rooms feature a queen- or king-size bed with bespoke Sir signature bedding. The night was delicate and I could wake up smoothly with the view on the fesque I love so much.
Food-wise, the Butcher, their in-house kitchen, serves burgers but there’s more on the menu to please everyone. American stylish food, I would say.
The breakfast consists of a large buffet, plus you can add a salty dish, eggs, pancakes or waffles. Makes you start the day on the right foot.
It is definitely an hotel I would recommend.
